Job Description

Inserso is seeking a Senior SCCM Administrator to support our DHS customer at their Chandler, AZ facility. This position provides Tier 2 support for the operations, maintenance, and administration of the Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM), Adaptiva. Additional team administration will include Monitoring tools such Axonius and Tanium.

The Senior SCCM Administrator will be responsible for providing support for all team managed applications, to standardize and centrally manage customized application creation and deployment, establish and document defined baselines, system parameters and formats. The administrator will provide technical guidance on the day-to-day administration, maintenance and operations for our customer's enterprise. They will manage the distribution of data, ensuring hardware and software systems compatibility, and ensure logs and alerts are consulted and acted upon to assist in monitoring activities.

This role will include, but will not be limited to the following responsibilities:
  • Support and/or troubleshoot day to day operations such as patching, compliance, and deployment, perform monitoring and tuning of system performance, provide administration, configuration, installation, development, deployment and maintenance of SCCM and/or related packages.
  • Maintain a productive working environment for development of team members.
  • Attend customer meetings to address security, vulnerabilities and compliance.
  • Troubleshooting SCCM errors on workstations, servers & the console.
  • Extremely knowledgeable creating and implementing PowerShell scripts.
  • Ensure staff follow established documented processes and proposes process improvements where applicable and relevant.
  • Support of server and workstation client management within a large environment, consisting of over 40,000 unique devices.
  • Provide guidance on best practices with respect to package creation/scripting, deployment and overall compliance check-ins
  • Provide routine and out-of-cycle reports to the system. administrators and management detailing accurate point-in-time compliance results.
  • Lead detailed technical discussions and develop and present required briefing materials to ensure the customer's needs are met.
  • Manage ServiceNow ticket queues; perform trend and root-cause analysis to resolve groups of trouble tickets; document efforts in the ServiceNow system.
  • Communicate effectively both orally and written with customers, stakeholders, and technical specialists.
  • Provide weekly status reports to team leads.
Required Skills/Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience.
  • 10 years of experience in IT support or related field.
  • 3 years of SCCM administration support at the senior level.
  • Experience creating deployment packages for COTS and custom applications in an enterprise environment (30,000+ users).
  • Experience administrating Microsoft Windows server environments.
  • Deep knowledge of Microsoft Windows Desktop OS Win10, Server 2012 and 2016.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen and pass the DHS Employment Eligibility Verification process.

Preferred Skills/Experience:
  • ITIL certified.
  • Experience in ServiceNow ticketing system.
  • Experience supporting DHS or other similar federal agencies.
  • Experience using System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) 2012 or later.
  • Experience with Microsoft Windows Installer to deploy multiple cumulative updates and service pack.
  • Experience supporting Enterprise IT operations for 30,000+ users.
