Responsibilities

Peraton is actively seeking a skilled Technology Transition and Decommission (T&D) Systems Engineer to enhance our Cyber Mission business unit in Jessup, MD. This role is pivotal in supporting one of the most extensive enterprise-wide Engineering contracts within the Intelligence Community. This full-time position demands a commitment of 1880 hours annually and is based at the client's site.

In this capacity, you will play a crucial role in managing the transition and decommissioning of legacy technologies, ensuring seamless integration and minimal disruption. Our Technology T&D Office extends its expertise not only throughout the customer organization but also to external partners in the Intelligence Community, guaranteeing that all transition stakeholder requirements are meticulously addressed.

Your responsibilities will include overseeing the technology transition process, tracking progress, identifying potential risks and devising strategic mitigations. You will also contribute to planning and support activities that align with customer support requests and governmental objectives. Each task will be clearly outlined and tracked to facilitate contractor assignments and ensure alignment with strategic goals.

As a Technology T&D Systems Engineer, you will provide essential systems engineering expertise, researching systems, services, and capabilities slated for decommissioning or transition. You will document all pertinent details and artifacts to aid decision-making processes for stakeholders and capability owners. Additionally, you will be instrumental in planning, monitoring, and producing systems engineering artifacts to support government efforts in managing technology transitions within the capabilities architecture.

Qualifications

Individual Capabilities/Experience Required:

    Bachelor's degree or advanced degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, or other related discipline plus at least 20 years of systems engineering experience. A Master's degree or PhD may be substituted for two years of experience. A high school diploma or GED plus 24 years of systems engineering experience would also be acceptable.
  • Position requires TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
  • Experience with documentation of systems, and systems of systems in accordance with systems engineering standards and practices.
  • Ability to plan and deliver engineering project with unique/ complex aspects that impact major capabilities or high priority to the enterprise.

Individual Capabilities/Experience Desired:

  • Ability to embrace cross-directorate collaboration, and work with/advise others who have little or no Systems Engineering Experience.

Target Salary Range
$190,000 - $304,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
